Is a little voice inside telling you, you want more?
If so, you’re not alone, we live in a technological world in which many people have quite simply lost their way.
In many ways it’s not surprising, we live in a world of bewildering choice, with increasing job mobility, pension’s uncertainty and the break down of the extended family is it any wonder people all over the developed world, people just lie you are asking, isn’t there more?
This would be bad enough but deep down we know that in the modern world we can do something about it, we could if we knew what it was we wanted.
People have grown up with the amazing power of SMART goals, and the power of positive thinking - and I still believe in them. Years of coaching have taught me that it’s easy to achieve well-formed goals. In fact if you’re committed and are motivated enough, its hard not to achieve them.
So, why is it that I get so many calls and emails from people who don’t believe they are getting the most out of life, the most often quoted problems are lack of motivation and procrastination; no prizes for guessing that.
So what is the answer?
Well, despite my increasing training role and NLP skills, i’m still a coach by philosophy, so if you are interested in how to increase your motivation and reduce procrastination - Just do one thing!
Before you get my answer in the next email, take 5 minutes now and write down one goal that you think you would like to achieve.
I’m not going to ask you to make it SMART, because speaking to you as someone who believes in personal responsibility, you already know that you’ll massively increase the chances of you achieving it if you do, but that’s your call.
For now, I’d like to suggest that you print off this email and write down at least one clear goal, and I’ll be back soon to show you another easy step to consistently getting more of what you want in life.
I know you remember all about the characteristics of good goals from chapter 3 of Take control and that’s why i thought I’d help you out with a reminder here.
