Am I crazy, or just walking my talk?
Judging from the emails I’m getting and the comments on the blog, I can tell that you can see the potential in the Pathfinders™ program and how it has sparked people’s interest. Having said that I do recognise that it is still a significant investment in money and also in your time, but I know how powerful this is going to be so I want to make this as risk free as possible for you.
I’ve given serious thought to this and some of my peers think I’m crazy, but hey I’m encouraging you to step up and take a chance so I think it’s only fair if I do the same.
I figure the best way win: win way to make signing up as easy and low risk for you as possible is to increase the risk for me.
So how am I going to do that?
I can’t offer to give you back your time, and if I’d figured out how to do that, we both know I’d be making a fortune in the beauty industry :o) but I can reverse the risk by increasing my guarantee to you and putting more of the risk on me.
So here’s the deal, if you sign up from the advance notification list, I will go beyond anything I have offered before by way of a guarantee.
How much beyond?
How about 11 months out there, I always offer a free one month money back guarantee for my 1-2-1 coaching/mentoring work but for Pathfinders…
…I’m going to offer you a 12 month full money back guarantee!
That’s right 12 months! So if you go through the program, follow up on the work and don’t think this is one of the best investments of your time and money – you can drop me a line and reclaim your investment at any time in the next 12 months.
I’m even prepared to take the hit on the PayPal charges!
I can almost hear you joining some of my friends saying: “That’s crazy Anth!” what if people go through the program and then ask for their money back anyway?
Well, yes I can see that’s a risk but I intend to make this program so good that nobody would consider it, and let’s face it I’m learning here too. Even if everyone claimed their money back - I’ll still have learned a huge amount, jumped well out of my comfort zone and developed some great new mutually rewarding strategic alliances. I’d say I’d be crazy not to make it really easy for you to decide to join me?
Bottom line, If I’m going to ask you to have fun and stretch beyond your current comfort zone, then I want to “walk my talk”, join you in the trenches and do it too!
If for whatever reason this program’s not for you and you just want to continue working with the free tips and blog entries etc, then no worries please continue to accept them as my gift to you – the only payment I ask is that you experiment and apply one of them every now and then.
If you see that Pathfinders™ could be for you and are considering signing up, then here is your last chance to avoid misssing out, grab your place at the front of the queue, receive the “action takers” discount and your extended 12 month guarantee.
Are you ready to take a chance too, and sign up today?
All the best,
Anth.

Your sight seems to thin I am trying to sign up twice. I am not trying to sign up twice- just going back in my emails to try to find the information on where to pay. I cannot find the payment details. Please send me this information.
Kind Regards,
Michelle

That is a very generous offer and I am still sure that it will be fantastic, for me its the wrong way round as i need to be successful to afford it and would love to pay for it at the end, however, it sounds like you will not be short of takers now. All the best Teresa

I am a skeptical person. I feel comfortable in reading your tips, and find them practical, concise to the point. I believe in you as a mentor.

Hi Anth,
I misread your email from this morning.I signed up
thinking you were ready to start enrolling into the
Pathfinders.
The result is I’ve signed twice for early notification.
Does this change my place on the list?

Your offer is really stretching my faith Anth.
Can you tell me what you put faith in? In areas like body, mind, emotions, spirit, relationships, finances? Do you have an over-arching belief system?

While I appreciate what you attempt to put forth, I am confused by the Pathfinders program. In all fairness to you, I suffer from a clinical/pathological form of entropy (and no, not the second law of Thermodynamics ;), but a seriously ingrained form of procrastination that actually requires the help of someone in the mental health field. For my part, I never give up.
Thanks Anth,
Susan

Hi Susan, great to hear that you seem to have a clear diagnosis, pathological procrastination,
Diagnosis even by a skilled professional can sometimes be difficult, I mean even experts seem to be able to disagree, you always need to be wary. I can’t help wondering how would you know if your diagnosis was wrong, as you’re sitting their right now, how would you know?
Maybe you’d actually have taken some form of action - like actually biting the bullet and typing in a comment on someone’s blog to express your opinion?
No, you couldn’t do that because that would be taking action, and if you had taken some action, some peope would think that you must already be capable of taking more action, don’t you agree?
Just something for you to think about as you consider what you will do as you realise that even people who’ve suffered from procrastination can take action begining today.

Anth,
It took many tries before I commented to you. I was going to delete it once it was sent; I still feel the terror of posting.
I chose to comment as I took a page from my son Chris’s life notebook - “When you’ve got a lot of food (actual food) on your plate and some of it is really icky, eat the icky food first then you will enjoy the good stuff.” I opted to do one icky thing every day, if I don’t get it done, I try for the next day.
Anyhoo, thanks for your input.
And BTW, my diagnosis was made when I was in my late 20’s I am now in my mid-50’s and it has taken me this long to get maybe 10 ickies done.
Good on me!
Blessings,
Susan

Wow Susan,
So you felt a terror of posting and you did it anyway, that’s fantastic you may have been procrastinating but acting in the face of a feeling of terror, you’re one brave woman - well done.
…and yes eating the icky stuff first can leave you free to enjoy the good stuff and it might be a good idea to stop putting so much of it on your plate too. Think about it if you’re still putting stuff off that’s “been on your list” for a long time - then it might be more effective to just forget about it and focus on doing the 1-2 ickies that will make the biggest positive difference to your life.
One question for you - if you absolutely had to do one of the these 1-2 things - how do you think you could have fun doing it?
and you’re right good for you :o)

I have not read any tips yet so I can not comment, but this blog seems to be missing some answers:
Michelle has asked about outlay,
Teresa says thanks but no thanks as I guess the outlay is too much for her,
Sam Ali appears to be a supporter,
Has Rellies place changed on the list?
Mark E askes if there is an over-arching belief system. Is that the same as an underlying one?
In Sues 20’s to 50’s procrastination how many other self help remedies has she already tried - all with the promise of overcoming her procrastination?
Jan Kaiser points us to a currency converter - thanks Jan.
Asking people to pay up front and ask for their money back if not satified conjours up a picture of a beady eyed skinny man in a long cloak and pointy hat rubbing his boney hands together as he say, “give me your money - you know you can trust me”, but all along he knows you will never ask for your money back - you are already a self comfirmed procrastinator or you wouldn’t be reading this!
I have read many many self help books and finally gave up because I realise that the only help you can get is from yourself. I still procrastinate and I would love it if Anth has come up with an answer, but, in the words of Sam Ali, “I am a skeptical person”. I would love somebody to come up with a self help idea that is really free - then say, “if you think that was beneficial to you please make a donation”. I am sure most people who benefit will be very generous, especially as they will probably be a lot better off too.
Will this get posted?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
Posted? Why not? After all, all feedback is good feedback :o)
I’d say being sceptical is a totally reasonable place to be, I mean why would you be anything else given that your evidence base so far has supported the belief that self-help books etc. don’t work!
In fact, I agree with you - if you buy any self-help book and don’t actually apply the material then chances are not only are you going to not turn things around, you might actually feel worse because you’ve had your aspirations raised only to fall short again.
I know how bad it can feel, I tried for years and have read and listened to hundreds of books, products and DVD’s not to mention the money on training. Now a lot of material was very powerful and every single product is a complete waste of your money and time if you choose not to apply it - You’d be better investing your money in the bank :o)
After years of trial and error, I gradually came to the conclusion (and just so you know when to get sceptical this is where I begin to disagree with your current belief set) that while the journey to taking control of your life always begins on the inside. The people who are really successful always do it with the help of other people; this is the basis of my Alliance Code.
Now this doesn’t mean you need to pay anyone, but what it does mean is that as well as paying close attention to your own thoughts and behaviours and what they are doing to your life and where it is heading, you’d benefit from going further than this.
I’d suggest you look at who you are spending your time with, and ask yourself what they are doing to your life too.
Make no mistake, while accepting personal responsibility is crucial, your environment and the people in it will shape and define your life, and their effect may be subtle but over the years…
In any case this is only my opinion and you have every right to be sceptical, if that is working for you.
Funny thing though, I can’t help wondering what would happen if you began to get sceptical of that old self-confirmed belief? I mean is that really how you want to define yourself?
Sure it’s good to have a sceptical attitude, but if you were to stop and consider it now, what are you that is more than that?
Right, my beady old eyes are getting tired, so I’m off to rub my bony hands together, you see my old cloak is getting threadbare and my skinny body isn’t as warm as it used to be…. ;o)
Thanks for you feedback, I appreciate you taking the time to write and try and help, have fun with whatever you decide to do…

I have read some of the tips Anth’
Tip: “What I found is that though the information in the books and training is sometimes very good, in truth hardly anyone actually goes on to use it to make a measurable difference in their lives”.
Anth, what is the difference with what you are proposing here? The authors who wrote the books expected the readers to interact just as you expect from your customers.
Tip: “There are many places and ways you could begin for today I’m going to suggest you begin deep inside yourself.” … “One thing that will make a huge difference immediately - accepting that you are personally responsible for your own experience of life.”… “ Begin to notice when you blame others for anything and stop yourself and ask, “how am I creating this” and how could I choose to react or think instead? “
Is that not similar to,
“I have read many many self help books and finally gave up because I realise that the only help you can get is from yourself.”
When you take responsibility for your own actions, and the outcomes thereof, you have completed 99% of the journey on the road to success because once you take ownership you take control. You are in the driver’s seat, so to speak, and it is the driver that decides on the final destination. Unfortunately the last 1% is when the goal stops being the destination as life gets in the way. Working, shopping, cooking, cleaning, watching the children, relaxing from the latter etc…
Tip: “I’d like to ask what you actually want?“
Who actually knows what they want and not just what they are lead to believe they want. People want what society (or TV) tells them they should want… a nomad in the desert probably wants another camel… a Maasai warrior wants another cow… a starving child just a piece of bread… most people reading this want more money, holidays, a bigger house, a nice car, a beautiful spouse + bit on the side ; o). Only once these have been achieved does one realise they are not yet satisfied and go on searching … a holiday home, Jacuzzi, sun bed, bigger boobs, boat…still not there? Mmmmm?
You can get an idea of what you want and why by looking up ” Maslow’s Hierachy of Needs” Google it! Look for the pyramid and you will find the priority we place on our needs and an explanation why.
If success is the goal then its a game not a need.
There is a term called financial freedom…that sounds appealing ; o). The freedom to choose and do what you want when you want where ever you want. A bit like winning the lottery but more probability if you are working for it.
If I really dig deep down within myself and dragged out my innermost desire it would be for answers…the answer to what really is…an average of 70 years to sample the joys of life…doesn’t seem enough does it? ;o). Maybe I could just stop and take in what I already have…great kids, the flowers and sky, wind rain and sun, birds and all other animals, food on my plate and the rest of my life to notice more.
Tip: One of the great tools for building momentum motivation and consistency of purpose is using a graph.
What sort of graph do you suggest Anth’? When I think of graphs I think of x,y graphs and usually the x axis contains some constant. What is the constant element in a graph to success? And the y element is a result of some formula derived from that constant … suggestions?
I do apologise if I have rambled on and gone a bit OTT…it is thinking (writing) out aloud trying to see if this fits with anything to do with my lack of motivation to achieve my goals
In summary, perhaps the bigger picture swamps my goals?
Thanks
Mark
